Maungdaw, Arakan State: Arbitrary extortion money is being increased by Burma’s border security force (Nasaka) from Rohingya villagers in Maungdaw Township is unbearable for the villagers, a Rohingya elder from Maungdaw north on condition of anonymity.
“On November 6, a group of Nasaka personnel from Aung Min Gala Nasaka out-post, under the Nasaka Headquarters or Nasaka area No.6 went to Maung Nama village tract of the same Nasaka area and arrested many villagers without any accusation and asked them to pay money to be released.”
“On that day, the Nasaka arrested— Jamal (30), son of Kala Meah, Hailed from Maung Nama Gyi, Sayedullah (45), son of Abdu Salam, hailed from Mirzir Tawla village of MaungNama village tract, Ms Amina Khatun (50), wife of Jaffar, hailed from Maung Nama village, Ms Bilkis (40), wife of Lala Meah, the same village,  Abulu (60), son of Mohamed Siddique, hailed from Maung Nama village, and Abu Siddique(30), son of Habi, from  same village.”
From above arrestees, the Nasaka personnel extorted at least Kyat 2 million. The said people were arrested because of their relatives live in abroad. The Nasaka got these lists through their village collaborators, said a Nasaka’s ex-collaborator.
Of them, Abu Siddique is a small shopkeeper who has a small shop nearby village on the road side. His shop was looted by these Nasaka personnel and took away goods and cash about Tk 10,000.
Besides, the Maung Nama village tract has six sentry posts; and each sentry has five villagers who were giving sentry duty. However, the Nasaka arrested all 30 sentry men over the allegation that they were sleeping when the Nasaka personnel approached the sentry post. They were tortured illegally and extorted Kyat 5,000 to 6,000 per each and were released. They are very poor people in the village who gave sentry duty. In fact, the sentry men were not sleeping. The Nasaka personnel were deliberately doing this to extort money, said one the sentry men who prefer not to be named.
It is learnt that the former Nasaka Commander of Aung Mingala was transferred to another camp recently and a new Commander was appointed to this camp. The former commander arbitrarily extorted money from villagers before his transfer.
“The Rohingya community becomes for their (Nasaka’s) source for earning money,” said a local teacher who denied to be named.

The Nasaka or police or army, occasionally arrested the villagers over the accusations that they were involved in— June riots, human trafficking, Yaba business, border cross case, holding Bangladeshi mobile sets, etc.  They have the power, and the Rohingya villagers have no rights to say anything against them. The arrestees are tortured allegedly, have to pay money and occasionally were sent to jail without any inquiry. As a result, Rohingyas have   to choose the pathway, which is to be released by paying money, said a political leader from Maungdaw.

UNHCR delivers foods, medicines, blankets and tents who flee from their homelands and protecting  lives, but we didn’t getting this facility from UNHCR. We have no foods for our families when we arrived here. We starved so many times, we lost many of our beloved one. Now, we are asking  to INGOs to help and save us from winter cool with providing us tents and warm cloth, said an old man from IDPs.
“UNHCR had distributed foods last Tuesday to these IDPs after getting permission from Township authority, we hope will able to help them more,” said a NGOs staff from Maungdaw.
“We are facing the shortage of tents as all the tents were sent to Akyab while Rohingyas landed to Akyab. We need tents for this people to distribute and warm cloth- blankets, clothes.”
There are so many tents on the roadside of Maungdaw-Alay Thankyaw highway road near the Natala villages which are not using just to show more Rakhines IDPs to international community and medias, said a teacher from Maungdaw south.

Maungdaw, Arakan State:  Police personnel of Maungdaw Town seized harmful weapons from Rohingya villagers of Maungdaw town today in the morning, according to local villagers.
Today, at about 5:00 am, many police personnel went to Bumu Para (village) of Maungdaw Town and surrounded the village and searched harmful weapons. The police seized the— knife, spades, dagger, chopper, axe, pickaxes, mattock, hoe, and slingshot excluding the Rakhine villagers. Bumu Para is mixed of Rohingya and Rakhine people. But, police seized only from Rohingyas not from Rakhine villagers. At present, Rohingya villagers have no daggers in the kitchens to chop the vegetables. As a result, house wives are facing to make curry for the family members.
“It is other kinds of harassment to the Rohingya community. Taking the kitchen daggers from every house is not a safety measurement taking by authority. It is only for face saving from the world community.  The reality is to increase security forces in the areas who have impartiality to decide any problem if occurred,” said a local elder on condition of anonymity.
Besides, today, the Nasaka personnel from Pandawpin Bridge – on Maungdaw-Alay Than Kyaw highway — check-post, nearby Kadir Bill village of Maungdaw south are checking Rohingya women with female Nasaka personnel, but, reason is unknown, said a local trader.

Who Else Could the Culprit Be But the King (Thein Sein) Himself? | Part 1

In our nation, a very fearful and frighteningly bad racial riot has been instigated! The priceless blood of the innocent people dropped! Indeed, it happened badly! I am worried and my heartbeats are getting faster thinking whether the situation will get worse and more blood of the people will drain!

Why did all these happen? Who are stimulating the people to do so? And why are they doing so? What are their motives, plans and purposes?

So, who could the main culprits be? When looked carefully into the matter in detail, it is none other than the king himself!

The current ruling Thein Sein’s USDP government or in another word, the military dictators controlled by U Than Shwe are masterminding and triggering to cause the riots. I would like to say they are triggering people to make nothing into bad and bad into worse.

I may be asked why I am saying so and what proofs I have to say so!

The Evidences and Set-Ups

The Director at the President’s Office

Many people may know the director of the president’s office called Bomu Zaw Htay! Being the spokesperson and director of the president’s office, he has been giving interviews to the media and the people. Recently, he even wrote an article in Weekly Eleven about the future planning and agreement of Nay Pyi Daw with a pen-name called Muu Zaw. The D.S.A graduated man called Bomu Zaw Thay has created a facebook account with the name Muu Zaw. Here is the address: https://www.facebook.com/hmuu.zaw

One will see that he has put the copied pictures of the website of president’s office and a picture of the president in his profile picture! That director of the president’s office called Muu Zaw is triggering racism to cause racial riots and making it bigger! He, without any hindrance in his mind, is openly spreading rumours and fake news. Here is an example:

He stated (Yet it is my personal opinion)

It is heard that armed Rohingya Terrorists from the so-called Rohingya Solidarity Organization are crossing the border and getting into the country. That is Rohingyas from other countries are entering the country. Since our Military has got the news in advance, we will eradicate them to the end. I believe we have been already doing it.

Therefore, we don’t want to be told about any humanitarian issues or hear any human rights from others. Besides, we neither want to hear any talk of justice nor want anyone to teach us like a saint- with full of loving-kindness. We don’t want them to shout at us like a saint.

(One can go and see in Maung Daw and Buthidaung of Rakhine state. Besides our people have to eat the food from the dirt, they are having insecure lives on their own land. So, I feel my heart broken. It is our country and hence it is our land.)

(I refer to all.) I refer to all the political parties, MPs, civil societies and all those who achieve satisfaction only when they can oppose, criticize the President and government.

Like the usual liars and hypocrites, he has mentioned and set it up as if it was his personal opinion to spread such open lies and fraudulent news. In fact, he is very trickery and deceptive. What are the motives and intentions behind spreading such fraudulent news by putting President’s photo on facebook by the director of the President’s office? It is very clear and simple! He is systematically setting up and triggering the public to create massacres and the drains of blood. That post of Muu Zaw on 8th June on Facebook was shared by 351 people and liked by 610 people (excluding the people who shared the post) until the evening of the day. There were 164 comments. In short, around 1000 people read the post and some of them shared it. The public have all the reasons to trust the news since it was published by the director of president’s office himself!

To be continued.
