High officials forces Rohingyas to sign, not to pray inside Mosques

Maungdaw, Arakan State:The Maungdaw high officials – U Kyi San, the administration officer- forced the Rohingya elders –management committee of Mosque- to sign, not to pray inside the mosques on March 15, according to a village administration officer who attend the monthly meeting of Maungdaw administration office.

“The ordered was issued to the villages’ administration officer under the Maungdaw Township, to take signatures from Mosques management committee or the High official will fired the village admin officer.”
30 villages of mosques committee had signature asthey will not open the mosques for praying or will not pray inside the mosques. The signature villages are mostly the villages admin officers Rakhine community, said a religious leader from Maungdaw.
“We, hope other villages will also sign as per high official.”
The high official’s order included – the sign agreement will valid till the recent order of authority to close the mosques, madarasa ( religious school) and not to pray inside the mosques- and ACT 144 imposed time.
The high officer also ordered to the village admin officer, not to allow the Rohingya villagers to renovate their home with permission of authority. Which will made Rohingya homeless as their homes are all with bamboo and thatch which valid is only two years, said a politician from Maungdaw.
“The authority also plan to become Rohingya hunger, holding the permission to run the home cottage industry –rice mill -- where most of Rohingya grind their paddy in the cottage mill. If the Rohingyas are not able to grind their paddy into rice , how they survive their lives in their village.”
“This is a master plan to drive out Rohingya from Maungdaw and Buthidaung, without informing high authority the real situation by Maungdaw high officials ( U Kyi San, the admin officer of Township and U Aung Myint soe, the admin officer of District ). The both officers are planning to drive out Rohingyas from Maungdaw district as high officials of the areas,”

Nasaka arrests over allegation of illegal marriage to extort money

Maungdaw, Arakan State: Burma’s border security force (Nasaka) arrested a Rohingya youth of Maungdaw Township yesterday over the allegation that he had married illegally without taking permission from the Nasaka, a close relative of the victim said on condition of anonymity. 
“The victim is identified as Salim (22), hailed from Maung Nama Gyi village of Maungdaw north. He is a shopkeeper at his village.”
On that day, a group of Nasaka from Nasaka area No.6 of Maungdaw north went to his house at about 2:00am, arrested and tortured him severely in front of his parents over the allegation that he had married without getting permission from the concerned authority, a friend of the victim said preferring not to be named.
After arrest, he was brought to the local Nasaka camp and detained there until they get money from the arrestee. It is a normal activity for Nasaka to get money from Rohingya people. There is no law and justice. Nasaka demanded Kyat 300,000 to be released, but the victim did not afford it, so he is still in the detention center of Nasaka camp.
A close relative of the victim said, “It is an illegal accusation. He is still a bachelor. He did not marry. But Nasaka accuses him that he is married.”
Another elder said,” Nasaka always gives disturb to the Rohingy community by saying that--- they are holding mobiles, married illegally, involving in violence, involved human trafficking, involved in drug smuggling and etc.”

Nasaka arrests 13 villagers from video room

Maungdaw, Arakan State: Burma’s border security force (Nasaka) arrested 13 villagers on March 15, at about 2:00 pm from a video room – which show movies, sports, news  by taking money from viewer - at Kyauk Hlaga (Darga Para) village, said a local youth who denied to be named.
The victims were identified as---Moulana Moggul Ahmed (35), Dr. Akram (32), and 11 others villagers - not identified, from Kyauk Hlaga (Darga Para) of Maundaw north.
The Nasaka took the arrestees to their local out-post camp under Nasaka area number 6, after arrested, according to a relative of a victim.
The Maungdaw Township administration officer announced no permission to watch any things in video room during the period of the State High School (SHS) examination on March 12, said a village administration officer from northern side of Maungdaw.
“The SHS examination was started on March 13 in Maungdaw.”
In Maungdaw Township, only two examination centers at present, Maungdaw town has one and another one at Bawli Bazar, northern side of Maungdaw. But, the arrested villagers are 15-mile far away from the Bawli Bazar examination center and 6-mile away from Maungdaw center of town.
As a result, there will be no impact to the students as all the SHC students of the said village went either to Bawli Bazar or to Maungdaw town to sit for their examination, the village administrator further said.
However, the arrestees were sent to Nasaka Headquarters on March 17 from local Nasaka out –post camp where they were detained and tortured.
The concerned authorities of Burma harass and arbitrary arrest the Rohingya villagers as per their wishes. It is nothing but they want to drive out the Rohingya community from the Arakan soil, said a politician from Maungdaw town preferring not to be named.

Rohingya killed by Rakhine extremists

The Burmese authority had imposed curfew only to Rohingya not to move one place to another since June 2012 racial violence in Arakan state. It causes Rohingya facing difficulties with hygienic foods, proper treatments, and necessary house hold materials and so on.

Amongst the suffering people shortage with daily survival food stuffs, three Rohingya men from  Sinn Gyi Pyan  helmet of Barbutaung village, Minbya Township leaved with engine boat to buy  foods for the own villagers  towards  Letmagye , Nagaya Village on Thursday, 14 March 2013.

Those three Rohingya were brutally killed on their water way by the Rakhine extremists. The dead bodies were found near Maroung Bwe Chaung Bridge of Bu Talonk village under the track of Mauk Oo on 16 March 2013.

There were also some security personnel based in Myauk Oo Ka-ma-ya (380) when the dead bodies picking up from the water to the land. They got the dead bodies with many injures and wounds of knife cuttings to necks, ears, noses and also sex organs.
